Chappelle’s monologue is good, and right at the issue that got Ye canceled from society. This trend might be just part of an extended news cycle or it might be a growing movement. It’s been obvious to basically everyone that the media has been telling black people that their oppressors are white people. The media has been generally very disparaging toward whites. Now there are blacks saying the quiet part out loud. Ye, Kyrie, Chappelle - they are not talking about the “white media” or “white oppression”. They are not talking about that because it doesn’t exist today. They are talking about what does exist.
The overreaction is telling. Ye never called for violence. He never even asked people to glare at Jews. He only stated Jews have (in his world) power that is being abused. Kyrie never called for any kind of violence, he never said or even suggested anyone should hurt anyone else. Yet Ye and Kyrie were canceled and in Kyrie’s case, was told to donate $500K to the organization that gets to tell people what they can say and think.
Why is there this over reaction? During the George Floyd riots, were the media and it’s partners condemning people who were calling for violence against police? Were they condemning the violence on full display every night? Destroying, looting and burning businesses and murdering those who stood in their way and the media says it’s “mostly peaceful”. The media likes violence, as long as it’s of the right kind.
But now a few black men are now saying, “yes we are being oppressed but it’s not the whites, it’s these other people” and the oppressors are not happy. These black men are not telling anyone to riot. They are not telling people to burn, loot and murder. They are not suggesting people start building gas chambers or build masturbation machines or start making lampshades out of skin or anything like that. All they are saying is that we need to have this conversation about power and people abusing power out in public. But the media is reacting as if they were calling for gas chambers, etc. Why is that exactly? Why the crybully act?
I thoroughly enjoyed Dave’s monologue!
Jews are not the only “victims” in the entire world. The Holocaust was not the only genocide that has occurred in history.
It’s called: the elephant in the room...
