I don’t know if it makes any ACTUAL difference, but I write to and call my elected representatives a lot - both State and Federal. If I had better ones I’d probably do this a lot less - maybe occasionally telling them how awesome they are. I also write to the good ones that I cannot vote for, I like telling Kaylee Tuck and Anthony Sabatini how well they’re doing. Kaylee especially, hopefully she becomes a star. I would definitely support her or Sabatini for Governor of Florida. Sabatini kind of looks the part while Kaylee looks like she’s still in High School…she definitely needs a few years and she’s technically/legally too young now anyway. I also encourage those around me to do the same. People complain about this or that and I encourage them to do something - anything! Writing to and calling these people may help or it may not, but it does not hurt and it’s how the system is supposed to function.
I’m of the hope/belief that most politicians can be swayed by pressure from their constituents. You’re not going to flip a progressive who wants red flag laws into being an NRA badge wearing 2A supporter, but you could probably nudge them on some of the less hot button issues. If enough people spoke up and spoke out instead of being the “silent majority” then we might see some meaningful change. I imagine being a politician is a pretty sweet gig and most of them seem eager to keep the job for as long as possible. If they feel like they are on the wrong side of an issue, they’ll adjust so they can keep their job. Politicians will definitely re-calibrate given enough pressure.
I was very displeased that my Congressman voted to give the Ukraine another $40 billion. I mean, can you at least try to hide your money laundering? I wrote a bit about that here.
After several letters and more phone calls I finally got a nice response. I know, it was most likely written by a staffer or unpaid intern but I’m at least playing along. It’s cathartic. And if this guy got 30,000 of these he might re-think his position.
If the guy was a Democrat I’d call these CNN talking points, but since he’s a Republican I’ll call them Sean Hannity talking points. The statement is such a joke on so many levels.
Russia already won, the Ukies have no chance at accomplishing anything outside of getting more Ukies killed. By all accounts Russia has prevailed in Sviatogorsk, the Donbass is now all but wrapped up and it seems that Russia will likely turn their attention toward Odessa. Two weeks ago Russian Defense Minister Shoigu either had a heart attack, was being sacked or both according to Western media but a few days ago he comes out with a very bullish statement. Nothing the Western propaganda machine has said has been true. Most of the statements by Russian officials have been true and that’s a very sad reality.
A lot of these weapons we are sending them are not making it to the front lines and a lot of them will end up on the black market, just like all the nice stuff we left behind in Afghanistan.
Russia has basically had their way in this special operation (it’s not a war). The Kiev thing was odd, maybe that was part of the plan or maybe it was an error - we will probably never really know. But outside of that, it’s been Russian just grinding away. The Russian operation is a lot different than our own military campaigns, they are very slow and methodical. We are the opposite - it’s shock and awe. Each has their advantages and disadvantages. The Russian strategy seems correct based on this special operation and their likely long term goals. This seems to really bother the Western media, who seem to proclaim constantly that Russia is failing and the Ukies are on the verge of victory. Some people in the media might actually believe this while the others are just reading their CIA talking points so the public will be more willing to cough up more money.
The fact that Russia had to launch this special operation can be traced back to the 2014 Maidan color revolution, sponsored by the CIA. This revolution would not have been possible without the NAZI Azov crew, it would have been nothing more than “a gay parade”, their words. To deflect from this, the State Department installed a Jew to work with the NAZI’s. I doubt Zelenski is a real Jew but even if he is, he’d not be the first Jew to work with NAZI’s. So while this provides some cover for a lot of normies, anyone who thinks about it for a minute will realize it’s rubbish. Given all of this, it’s odd to be talking about Ukrainian “sovereignty”. Sovereignty and democracy are important now but not as much in 2014 when the US CIA basically overthrew the democratically elected pro-Russian government in Ukraine.
Sending money to Ukraine so politicians can launder the money will do nothing to weaken Russia, whatever that means. Arming the Ukraine will not weaken Russia. I’d say most of the weapons will never even be used in the conflict and those that do will just end up getting more people killed for nothing.
I really think most people, if they thought about this long enough and were exposed to some counter CIA narrative propaganda would come to these same conclusions. They are not controversial. And even if they were, effectively printing more money isn’t going to help you or me or the people down the street. This is America last policy.
And then there is the bit about Russia being our #2 enemy. How and why? Because they meddle in our elections? Give me a break. We should be finding common ground with Russia and should be bringing them closer. China is an enemy, but only because we have handed over power to them, and now they can use it against us. We have used China as an excuse to destroy manufacturing and our middle class. But perhaps more importantly, it can be argued that this along with social welfare programs have destroyed black families and caused the 13/50 statistic which is really more like 6/50 where 6% of the population causes over 50% of all violent crime. This is way off topic though. I’d like to write about this in the future. It’s a big problem that may be correctable.
So using this Congressman’s logic, we are actively working to push our #1 and #2 enemies closer together.
Obviously this bridge took more than a couple of months to build, so our actions did not create this. But our actions are forcing Russia and China to build a stronger partnership, one that was already budding. We’re dumping Miracle Grow on it. That’s a big time own goal.
Congressman says we are galvanizing Europe against Russia, like that should even be a goal of ours. But this is plainly false. Turkey is cozying up to Russia, Hungary was never on board with the sanctions, Austria is buying gas in Rubles, Germany is still buying gas, Italy has agreed to buy gas using Rubles and most of the rest of the EU will soon follow. And it’s not even winter! LOL, okay boomer.
This is not “galvanized against Russia”. This is Russia eating the EU’s lunch and kicking mud in their face. All of our sanctions caused a temporary blip in the Russian economy but the recovery has been very strong. The Ruble is approaching 2018 highs. Remember when Baghdad Barbie said the sanctions would destroy the Ruble, so much for that.
The rest of the letter is just more blather. No one is going to demand an accounting of anything. Billions go missing from the Pentagon all the time and nothing happens, no one is ever held accountable.
As usual with Washington politicians, they miss the bigger picture. These people are always missing the bigger picture. It’s like they get to DC and it’s a big circle jerk and no one really understands anything. Ukraine (and Russia) are almost 6,000 miles away. Our number 1 enemy is zero miles away and it’s Mexico. Mexico is by far our biggest and most dangerous enemy and the threat is much more immediate than that of China. The US lost over 100,000 lives to drug overdoses last year. Where did the overwhelming majority of those drugs come from? Mexico, not Russia. Millions of migrants are invading our country now, and they’re not coming through Russia or China. It’s Mexico, they are coming through Mexico. This is not sustainable. Honestly, it might already be too late - historically nations do not survive these kinds of invasions. But we still should not give up, we should act.
In my response to Mr. Congressman I urged him to get support for declaring war on Mexico. We need to start bombing ASAP. Pull back all manufacturing and just start bombing them. They are facilitating an invasion and they helped kill 100,000 Americans last year (how many Americans did Russia kill), war is totally justified. I am totally serious on this point. If we are going to fight a war it should not be some politically motivated proxy war with Russia, we really need to pick the right target and that’s Mexico.
